Lukasz Mateusiak

Łukasz Mateusiak earned his master’s degree in pharmacy from the Medical University of Łódź and became a licensed pharmacist in 2019. His research journey began with a Fulbright-funded placement at the Zimmer Lab, University of Virginia, where he developed an interest in Nanobodies. He later pursued a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, focusing on Nanobody-based tracers for fluorescence-guided cancer surgery. During his PhD, he received the SofinaBoël Fellowship to further validate his work at Leiden University Medical Center. Currently, Łukasz is a postdoctoral researcher exploring advanced applications of fluorescent bioconjugates in image-guided surgery, with a focus on fluorescence lifetime imaging.
