Biography
Janik Puttemans received his BSc degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology from Erasmus Hogeschool in 2012 and his MSc in Industrial Engineering: Biotechology from KULeuven Campus De Nayer in 2015. He graduated as a PhD in Medical Sciences in 2020. His work at the ICMI lab was focussed on the development of Nanobody-based probes for nuclear imaging and targeted radionuclide therapies for difficult-to-treat cancers, such as glioblastoma, multiple myeloma and breast cancer brain metastases. After his PhD, he became the Operations and Core Facility Manager for the new In Vivo Cellular And Molecular Imaging Core Facility.
